Network Resource Management

« Back to Glossary Index

Network Resource Management (NRM) refers to allocating, monitoring, and optimizing resources within a telecom network, such as bandwidth, spectrum, and power. Its purpose is to ensure efficient usage of resources while maintaining high-quality service. NRM systems dynamically adjust resource allocations based on traffic demand and network conditions. For example, during peak hours, NRM might allocate additional bandwidth to high-traffic areas to prevent congestion and maintain user experience.
