Energy Saving (ES) is a SON feature designed to reduce operational costs and improve sustainability by deactivating underutilized cells during low-demand periods. By dynamically managing network resources, ES ensures minimizing energy consumption without compromising coverage or service quality. For instance, during late-night hours in a business district, ES powers down some cells while maintaining connectivity through active neighboring cells.
